The doggies greet us as we knock,
A fire is flickering in the den,
Meade cooks a specialty in the crock,
Friends are together once again;
Like snowballs,  opinions are shaped and hurled,
As us learned geezers frown and expound
On how to govern and save the world,
Then Olivia orders us around;
Like ghosts,   our troubles disappear,
Songs and kids make a happy din,
Fond memories remain to cheer,
How good of you to let us in.
